Delete Your SnagBite Account
Last Updated: July 5, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account for the SnagBite mobile app (operated by SnagBite) and what happens to your information when you do.
How to delete your account in the app
You can delete your account directly in the SnagBite app:
- Open the SnagBite app and sign in.
- Open the Menu.
- Tap Profile.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when the "Delete Account" dialog appears.
Your account is deleted immediately and permanently. There is no grace period, and the action cannot be undone.
You cannot delete your account while you have an order or request in progress. If you are a store owner or associate, you must first resolve any store obligations — such as pending payouts, pending refunds, active team members, or an active store membership. Once those are resolved, you can delete your account.
If you no longer have the app
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us at support@snagbite.com from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete your account. We will verify your identity and process the request.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your login and authentication credentials.
- Your account profile and preferences, such as your name, email address, and profile information.
- Your public account identifier.
- Your SnagBite Credit balance and credit history.
- Your one-time email sign-in codes.
If you are a store owner, deleting your account also removes your store's identity records, subject to the same checks described above.
What is retained, and why
Because SnagBite is a marketplace that processes payments, we are legally required to keep certain records even after your account is deleted. We retain:
- Completed order, transaction, payout, tax, and accounting records — kept to meet tax, accounting, financial-regulation, and legal obligations, and to help prevent fraud and resolve disputes.
- Payment records held by our third-party payment processor under its own legal retention requirements.
- A minimal account-deletion audit entry — the date and internal identifiers only, with no profile content — used for compliance and analytics.
These records are retained only for as long as required by applicable law. For example, tax and financial records are typically retained for up to seven (7) years, after which they are deleted or anonymized so they can no longer be linked to you.
